Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness Meditation Workshop with Emily Rose

Sunday 24 Apr 2022: 2-4.30pm

Investment: $60 (Members -20%)

Do you struggle to keep your awareness focused in Yoga or Meditation classes?

Would you like to learn tools to cultivate more presence in your life, work with stress or anxiety and deal with the waves that life throws your way with more ease?

The power of the ancient technique of mindfulness meditation is learning to connect with each moment exactly as it is. To still the mind so we can truly experience our lives with presence.

Through this practice we also connect with our thoughts, emotions, our relationship with others, to our true purpose, and to the awe-inspiring, yet simple, beauty of the world around us.

Mindfulness meditation is also a potent practice to deal with the everyday struggles of life, assist with the healing of past wounds and to more deeply connect with yourself and others.

In this immersion, Emily will introduce you to the theory and practice of mindfulness, equipping you with some key tools to help bring a sense of balance, groundedness and ease into your life. You will also be guided through a few different mindfulness meditations, and provided tips for creating your own personal meditation practice.

Mindfulness meditation (Awareness or Insight meditation) is a completely secular practice and cultivates embodied presence, kindness, and compassion and can be taught to almost anyone (even if you truly believe that you can’t meditate!)

Suitable for those completely new to meditation as well as those that may have some experience and wish to spend some time in immersive practice.

Please contact Emily before booking if there are any mental or physical conditions that may impact your ability to move, sit or turn inwards to your experience.

Emily Rose is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and has trained for over 2 years with renowned US teachers, Jack Kornfield & Tara Brach, who have been at the forefront of modern mindfulness & compassion practices, and sharing them with the Western world.
